THE VILLAGE CHURCH

Flower Mound, Texas

In the spring of 2007 The Village Church began a season of prayer in search of their next steps. This led to the purchase of a recently vacated Albertson’s grocery store. Shanks Architects was selected to plan the adaptive re-design of this building to accommodate their new main campus.

The design includes a 1,400 seat worship center, pre-school and children’s education and a new second floor administrative office space. While the exterior of the building involved minimal changes, the interior has been transformed into an informal contemporary environment for worship and education.
